Hello

I'm Charlie Reisinger, Chief Information Officer for Penn Manor School District and adjunct faculty at Millersville University's Lombardo College of Business, where I teach courses in cybersecurity and IT ethics and privacy.

I believe education is the most important human endeavor.

My work sits at the intersection of leadership, open-source culture, and emerging technology. I've built programs that put students in real professional roles, guided major infrastructure projects, and helped educators think about technology, AI, data security, and privacy. I wrote about our district's open source journey in The Open Schoolhouse – a model for K-12 technology leadership that's been recognized internationally.

My focus is on the strategic questions that matter to school leadership: How do we build an equitable and innovative tech stack that empowers students and teachers? How do we protect sensitive student data in a hostile cyber landscape? How do we expand the digital programs needed to keep learning both authentic and forward-looking? How do we grow people and processes to maximize limited funding and staff? How do we prepare for a future being reshaped by AI and synthetic media?
